Stima started when our founder spent six months embedded with a motorcycle taxi cooperative in Nairobi. Every week, one or two e-bikes went offline because a battery pack failed without warning. The cooperative had no visibility into which pack would go next.

We built Stima to solve that specific problem — and discovered that the same blind spot exists in EV fleets across 13 African countries. Renew Capital backed the vision with a €2.2M seed round in 2025.
